The EU could “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it deems “unwarranted” travel bans issued by the US on five European individuals working on combating digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.

EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Coercion’

Officials from Europe such as the French president charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of campaigns to introduce laws governing US-based technology firms.
