Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water supplies, according to city officials.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks succeed nights of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
