Iranian Forces State Attack on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a significant and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - stated they have shot down missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.
Regional Fallout
In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces said it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.
It said wreckage landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
