Trio Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Honour

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Athlete of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
